A little fun....

Here's something a lot of you may not be aware of, but certainly is a love of fun.

It's called Storybird and it's a new website where you can log on and write short stories and illustrate them with the designs from various artists that have been uploaded. I have a little shop there and the stories that are written with some of my illustrations are just adorable. I love reading them! And the best bit about this is that it's all free. Not only is it a whole lot of fun for yourself, but it's perfectly suited for kids as well to get those creative writing juices flowing.

But wait, there's more! For the month of December, you can send stories you write and "illustrate" as greeting cards. And both Polly Packages and Pia Puddingtop are up there! I know I'd certainly love to get a card with one of those lovely ladies on it. Wouldn't you?

So here is the link http://storybird.com/chichiboulie/ now go check it out!

OUF!

It's done. I posted the last of my holiday orders this morning and now I think I can breath again. What a relief from a worldwind couple of months.

But it was such fun and I love the thought of so many little boys and girls (and mums too because we do so love these things) opening up their gifts and hopefully brightening up with big big smiles when they see them.

I have posted many many personalised prints and paintings, colouring books and BoulieBags, paper dolls and writing sets. I have become best friends with the ladies at the post office (for whom I'm going to make a huge batch of cookies to thank them and will try my best not to burn them this time). I have stressed beyond belief because I've run out of ribbon or paper or ink or mounts. But it was all very much worth it.

And so a very large thank you to all of my customers, wherever you may be in the world. I hope you will enjoy your parcels.

And myself? I am going to relish the next couple of days before launching into new projects, because now I truly know how to appreciate having nothing to do!

If I could only use the shocked expression icon as a title...

...now would be the time.

You see, we have a puppy. Some of you know this already. She's a lovely scottie called Pippa. Pippa has just recently turned 6 months old and so I know she will be coming into heat for the first time at some point soon, though I have no idea when. I've never raised a puppy before.

So I did what any person these days would do. I googled it.

In my search box I typed in "how to tell if dog is in heat".

Hit enter.

You know at the top of your results page where they suggest alternatives in case you've misspelled something? Yup, that bit up there in blue. Well that popped up with a suggestion for me although I was pretty sure I'd typed all my words correctly. I double checked and indeed, everything was typed correctly. So what on earth could google be suggesting I check out in case I don't find what I'm looking for.

Do you want to know?

Are you sure?

It's a question I've never asked myself and now that it's been proposed to me, it remains a question I have no intention of asking myself.

Google has suggested that I search for....

"how to tell if god is in heat".

Anyone want to go for it?
