This is one of the reason I love that my daughter has to wear a uniform to school. Although now that we are approaching the end of the school year her white shoes are looking quite horrible.

The 4 year old who attends preschool gets to wear what she wants. And she always has to look just so before she leaves the house for school. Pretty as a Princess as she would say.

Why oh why would you want his photo to be "picture perfect?" It needs to be HIM, and that's where the perfection lies. I think it is quite lovely and TRUE and how you want to remember him~not all fake and poised. Of course, it would have been even better had you forgotten to wipe his breakfast from his face before he dashed off to school. That would be the REAL him, no? You will always look at this and smile and laugh and celebrate your perfectly unperfect little man and his slightly disorganized but perfectly adorable mother~both of you blessed to have the other! :)

Oh you are so not alone in this! I don't think I have any put together school photos of any of my children until they reached Junior High and they put themselves together. I try not to be too hard on myself and I tell people well they are alive, in good health, not in jail or pregnant and do not look homeless (even if the early photos look that way!). ;0)
